There wasn’t as many there as I thought but there were a few there.  People calling the amount of retail outrageous.  People saying that the LH businesses should be cut because it would make other businesses look second rate.  Hey did you ever hear of capatilism?  Competition between the businesses.  Beside how is for instinence an athletic store going to comepte for business with a restaurant.  Plus the decline of Franklin Ave. started years and years ago with the expansion of Roosevelt Field and The source mall.  The only legit concern that was bought up was water.  Hey at least there wasn’t many at all.  I would say there was maybe a dozen people topps a the hearing who were against the project.

To the NIMBYS Why not try to become as Lisa Tyson said “YIMBYS”?

At approx 8:10 this mourning I arrived at Nassau Coliseum parking lot 8 for the “Just Build It” Lighthouse rally.  And lets just say I wasn’t happy but I was ecstatic with the turnout.  I would say there was 600+ people present at the rally.  At around 8:50 am we lined up and myself along with other LH supporters with the help of the Nassau County PD marched from the lot to the Adams playhouse for the public hearing.  So lets just say it was a major success.
