According to Nick from lettherebelighthouse the TOH consultant FP Clarke who are in charge of reviewing the DEGIS haven’t worked in three weeks. The reason they are refusing to work is because they are in a dispute with the LH group over payment. The LH group says they owe 80,000 dollars and FP Clarke says they owe 120,000. What you don’t know is the Lighthouse has already paid this company over 500,000 dollars so they are clearly good for it. This is the same company who in the last 3 years has donated over 10,000 dollars to Kate Murrays administration. In case you don’t know in accordance with the SEQR process the Environmental statement must be declared complete before Zoning can move forward. So why is there a vote on Sept 8th? Well if you asked me yesterday I would’ve told you it was to schedule the zoning hearing. But now after reading that, I don’t know. Its obvious zoning can’t go forward until this is done. It is highly unlikely that if they haven’t been working for over 3 weeks that it will be done by then. That means Wang will be able to go to KC and not worry about the hearing. FP Clarke get let this screw up the project. If they do shame on them!! For a more detailed explanation of the happenings view Nicks entry below:

You can read it if you want but I suggest if you only have time to read one to read Nicks!

(US Senator)
(NY Governor)
(Congresswomen)
As I am sure you know by know the Lighthouse has garnered support from all kinds of government officials including the ones shown above. However for some reason politicians from the TOH haven’t seen the light yet. Evidenced by their prior unneccessary dealys with regard to the LH and the delay to get a zoning hearing scheduled. What I want to know is if so many people from County, State, and even a national level support this thing, how is it that a group of pols. from the TOH are able to delay this in any way? These high ranking gov’t officials need to keep their heads up and if they suspect foul play they need to get on it.

According to newsdays Islander blog the Islanders have signed 2008 5th round pick Matt Martin to a 3 year entry level deal. Martin last year had 65 points in 61 games. Some have said that having him in the system led us more to De-Haan in the draft this year over Zack Kassian. We shall see I wish Martin all the best in the Bridge this year.
