Today on his facebook page Ed Mangano said the following quote:
“The Light House Project is a top priority of our administration and something that we are working very diligently on.”
Well some may say this is good to hear while others may say do you expect to hear anything less? Well I think this is good in a sense that someone finally said something however I feel if it was such a big priority that it would’ve been addressed within 2 weeks of him taking office. But hey, well see!!

According to tsn.ca defenseman Shelden Souray has given Oiler GM Steve Tambellini a list of teams he would approve a trade to in the event he is shipped out prior to the March 3rd trade deadline. While I hope one of them is the Isles I seriously doubt it as I have been hearing that he would want to go farther west in like the LA area to be closer to his children.
Although I would love Souray on the Isles because I think he would be great for us given he stays healthy and we don’t have to pay the moon for him. He is a pretty good defenseman, has a heck of a shot, and has a mean streak as well being capable of dropping the gloves if need be.
Just something to keep an eye on the deadline nears although as I said I wouldn’t hold my breath on him coming here.
