Get well soon Jack!!! In case you missed the game he took an Ovechkin slapshot to the mouth at the end of the first period I believe.
Now with regard to the rest of the game I really don’t have much to say!! The caps outshined us and showed us why they are among the elite teams in this game culminating with Laichs 7th goal.

Tonight Kyle Okposo and our New York Islanders will play host to Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are playing some good hockey right now winning their last 6 straight. However as evidenced by their coaches quote on pointblank they are preparing for a tough game tonight. Their coach told Botta that the Isles scare him to death. Roli will be in net tonight and Josh Bailey will be a game time decision as he is under the weather so you may see Tamby in the lineup. One more thing Howie Rose has a stomach bug so instead of Chris King calling the game they are having Ranger announcer Kenny Albert do it.

According to pointblank d-man Calvin De-Haan is out 6 months with a shoulder injury. This is a real shame as it puts some what of a temporary damper on his development. Hopefully he gets back to shape and maybe we will see him on the Island at the end of next year. Get better soon kid!

Well Sean Bergenheim did something that I have been begging someone from the isles org. to do since Mike Mottaus joke punishment for taking out Frans Nielsen last year. Here is what he said:
“Let me put it this way, it was a really stupid play by White. It was just a stupid play. I don’t believe he wanted to cut me but it was a stupid play and for stupid plays like that there should be consequences,” Bergenheim said.
For more visit Katie Strangs isles blog @ newsday. I think it is great that someone in the org finally showed the cojones to question him!! It is long overdue IMO!
Also according to a devil site Colin White will be fined $2,500 dollars for his hit from behind on Bergy Saturday. Additionally theres a quote in the article from White saying that he didn’t think he deserved to be suspended that he would be shocked if he was. Well I have news for White just because you play on a well respected team and stuff of that nature doesn’t mean you should be able to escape discipline for other things players of other teams wouldn’t be able to.
