Post Game: Isles lose 3-1!

Tonight our New York Islanders fell to the defending champion Penguins 3-1 in OT.  Here are some of my notes:

-Refs were less then stellar!  But that is expected after all were playing PIT.
-Roli played pretty darn well!  Nice seeing him go after Rupp even though he took a penalty
-Martin is still impressing me!  He held his own well in his fight!
-Meyer had a good game
-Andy Mac. played well again as usual!

If you have anything to add post in comments

Next Game: Saturday 2 PM @ Home VS the Lightning

Pre Game: Isles @ PIT!

Tonight our New York Islanders will be traveling to PIT. to take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Hopefully we can carry some momentum with us after last nights big shootout win.  Also we have played PIT tough this year so maybe we can get a tough two points!  I would love to see Martin line up Crosby or Malkin and send them into orbit!!  I can’t find who the starting net minder will be however I can tell you it won’t be Biron because he didn’t make the trip with the team.  Also it is unknown weather or not captain Doug Weight will play today.  Just to let you all know he wasn’t a healthy scratch last night he was taken out of the lineup by Scott Gordon because we are playing back to back and he has been battling a shoulder injury.
