According to various news outlets the town of Hempstead will announced their counter proposal tomorrow morning at 11am at a press conference. Off course they schedule it for when supporters can’t go.
According to Chris Botta the housing part which was 2,306 units apart of the original proposal will be cut to around 500. Also the project as a whole he said will be cut by half. Botta said that Wang and Nassau County executive Edward P. Mangano sent a joint letter to Kate Murray slamming the counter offer. I am happy to see that Mangano for now will stick with us because he will be useful because hopefully since there members of the same party they will be able to come to some sort of an agreement. However Botta says Kate told newsday in the newsday exclusive that the counter is non-negotiable.
Look tomorrow to Islanderspointblank.com, newsday.com, and tomorrow night look to lettherebelighthouse.blogspot.com for reaction pieces. I will try to do something but I may not have a chance.
